Aww you’ll never guess what this 900 year viking message finally decoded says…

It has taken several years for researchers to work out the Viking rune alphabet Aka Jötunvillur, this code dates back to the 11th or 12th century which has been found in  around 80 inscriptions. Recently runologist Jonas Nordby had cracked the code and discovered the secret message, which reads “Kiss me…” Via Medievalists.net:

People thought these codes or markings were meaningless combinations of runes, but a man called Norby did it, he decoded it. It has left many people disappointed, as there were expecting deep viking secret’s. Nordby explains “We have little reason to believe that rune codes should hide sensitive messages, people often wrote short everyday messages.” This is something Vikings would do in there leisure time, as other inscriptions decoded were aimed to be playful taunts for the person decoding them on forskning.no.
