There was a very unusual scene at the Kruger National Park in South Africa recently, as a lion cub managed to accidentally get its head stuck inside the backside of a buffalo. A pride of 18 lions took down the mighty beast and began feeding on it. An eager little cub decides it doesn’t have the jaw strength to bite a hole through the skin of the buffalo, so decides to go in where there’s already an opening – at the back… Keen to get eating, the cub sticks his head, but then can’t remove it.

Don’t worry – park rangers were monitoring the situation and say that the other lions eventually came to the embarrassed little cub’s rescue. They ate around the area he was stuck in and freed him.
