Boredom Bash
This is Matt Diaz. Six years ago, at the age of just 16, he weighed 400lbs. He was unfit and unhappy. So, he made a life changing decision – to lose the weight. Fast forward to the present day, and Matt has lost 270lbs! However, as with most people who lose a huge amount of weight, he has been left with a great deal of excess skin. This is extremely unfortunate; you feel fat, so lose mega amounts of weight, only to be left with a different body image problem.
However, instead of hiding his body away, Matt decided to make a video about his excess skin. He was no longer going to be ashamed of his image. The aim of the video was to promote body positivity in others.
“I know what it feels like to hate your body, and to be depressed about it, and I never want anyone to feel that way again. So, if making myself vulnerable can help one person, why not?”
