When Wild Animals See Themselves In a Mirror For The First Time – It’s Hilarious!

Innovative Frenchman Xavier Hubert Brierre is a professional wildlife photographer who spends a lot of time in West Africa shooting (in the good sense…) jungle animals in their natural habitat. For his latest project he headed to Gabon and set up a large mirror. Why? Well, so he could get some amazing shots of animals seeing their reflections for the very first time.

And the results are brilliant! Gorillas act aggressively. Baboons freak out. Elephants don’t care. And then there are wild cats, birds of prey… Each species seems to have a different reaction to seeing themselves in a mirror – each as crazy as the last!
