We always assumed that we didn’t really like ballet until we went to see it once. It’s just a bunch of idiots in pink tights jumping about a bit, isn’t it? That’s what we thought. But after someone dragged us to a performance, our thoughts instantly changed. It’s energetic, impressive, artistic… There’s athleticism, narrative, beautiful music. It’s ace. And Swan Lake is probably the best ballet of all time. In the amazing video below you can see the wonderful – and outrageously acrobatic – Great Chinese State Circus taking on Tchaikovsky’s best known ballet. And dropping jaws.
Seriously, even if you think that it’s not for you – give it a chance. You might just be surprised…
