A couple are awakened at 3am by a loud knock on their front door.
The husband gets up and answers the door where a drunken stranger is asking for a ‘push.’
“No way!,” says the husband, “it’s the middle of the night!”
He slams the door and goes back to bed.
“Who was that?” his wife asks.
“Some drunk dude asking for a push,” he answers.
“Did you help him out?” she asks.
“God, no, it’s 3am and raining!”
“Well, you have a short memory,” says his other half. “Don’t you remember about 3 months ago when we broke down, and that guy helped us out? We should help this fella, and you should darn well be ashamed of yourself!”
Suitably shamed, the husband gets dressed and goes outside “Hello, are you still there?” He shouts.
“Yep.”
“You still need a push?” calls out the husband.
“Please!”
“Whereabouts are you, then?” asks the hubby.
“Just over here… On the swing!”
