Elsa Rhae Pageler is a freelance video editor who recently graduated from the University of Kansas. Her degree was in Film & Media Studies but it’s been her hobby, her face painting and make-up work, that’s earned her a lot of attention of late. And with good reason – her creations are nothing less than awesome! Taking inspiration from her favourite movies, computer games and TV shows, Elsa transforms herself magically. Seriously – what she does is almost unbelievable.
Here’s Ms. Pageler in her normal make-up. Ah, how lovely.
OMG! Slightly less lovely here! Here’s Elsa as the crazed mutant warrior Baraka from the Mortal Kombat video games series. *shudder*
This is slightly nicer. Here she is as Captain Planet, the environmentally-aware superhero. How she’s captured the animated look of CP is hugely impressive.
Ermac from the Mortal Kombat series…
Some of Elsa’s work is entirely creative and not based on other characters. This, in particular, is very artistic.
How beautiful is this one?
This is Elsa demonstrating her skills as White Walker from the mega success that is Game of Thrones. Terrifying!
Halo fans will recognise this creation. Nope, it’s not Michaelangelo from the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
This pop art-inspired effort is particularly cool.
Another Mortal Kombat character here, this time, Quan Chi. And the final Mortal Kombat one, Scorpion.
Jim Carrey fans will know about this one – it’s Dr. Seuss’ Grinch character.
And we thought Heath Ledger made the greatest Joker!
Here’s Alan Moore’s anarchic superhero character, V from the Natalie Portman-starring V For Vendetta. It’s one of Elsa’s favourite movies and her homage to it is suitably cool…
