There’s a hilarious joke doing the rounds on social media at the moment where gullible internet users are falling for a joke which suggests that the world’s most famous movie director shot and killed a DINOSAUR. The man? Steven Spielberg. The film? You guessed it – Jurassic Park. The joke? From internet funnyman Jay Branscomb. The hoaxster recently posted the picture below on Facebook along with the caption, ‘Disgraceful photo of recreational hunter happily posing next to a Triceratops he just slaughtered. Please share so the world can name and shame this despicable man.’

Obviously, not everyone’s falling for it. Some people have seen the film. And know that Triceratops have been extinct for more than 65 million years. Still, some people are happy to jump in and defend the hunter’s ‘prey’. See, Mr. Smith down here isn’t very happy…
And Penelope here is even less pleased. She’s not watching any more of his movies again. Because Steven Spielberg is an ANIMAL KILLER.
The image popped up on 6th July and has gone mad. It’s being shared and reposted at a tremendous rate, shocking not least its creator, Jay.
