Sir Nicholas Winton is a true hero. He’s the original war hero, in fact. His Oskar Schindler-esque efforts during the Second World War saw him save the lives of 669 children. An incredible achievement, huh? He did it by diverting their journeys and allowing them to escape almost certain death at the horrific Nazi concentration camps, places like Auschwitz and Dachau.
The Brit legend was celebrated in a very special edition of UK TV show That’s Life, but it a most unusual and hugely touching way.
