Anderson Island in the state of Washington, north west USA. William Chapman was out on his boat when he spotted some killer whales, aka orca whales. Now, these incredible aquatic creatures are known to occasionally visit the area for people to attempt to carry out their Free Willy-based fantasies, but they rarely get this up close and personal. There’s been a small backlash online about Chapman not turning off his motor when he realized they’d be coming close, for safety reasons. The law says you must, after all. So if you’re ever in this position, you know what to do!
