Fifth graders at Franklin Elementary in Mankato, Minnesota ask a very important question in the video you’re about to see, “Why pick on someone who has special needs?” Well, why indeed. They certainly don’t. In fact, their little group at school does quite the opposite. They saw the way that their classmate James got treated by others because he has special needs and they decided to step in and help. They introduced him into their group and the six of them are now best buddies.

James has really come out of his shell since making new friends. The teasing has stopped, he’s become more interested in sports and is generally a lot happier. This is heartwarming tale and an unexpected one…
