It’s not just middle-aged men that lose their hair, you know. All sorts of creatures across the animal kingdom are prone to a bit of baldness. Alopecia (the technical name for hair loss) can occur in animals for any number of reasons: illness, the seasons, ageing, mineral imbalance, lack of a certain type of vitamin, genetic mutations, breeding, parasitic infestations…
We’ve had a trawl through some bald animals and found 15 brilliant examples. And here they are – without a hair in sight!
