A Colorado Springs man heroically saved a baby deer that became trapped in a window well recently as its nervous mother waited anxiously on nearby. In the video below, Todd Dierdorff can be seen freeing the caught fawn and scooping it up and placing it on the ground. It’s wobbles briefly on its unsteady legs and then walks off with its mother like nothing’s happened!
Wildlife officers that were told about the incident have since claimed that Todd dealt impeccably with the situation. When dealing with young like this, quickly touching them and then letting go of them does not interfere with the mother-child bond.
