It’s important to always remember where you came from. No matter how successful you get, no matter how much money you make – always bear in mind your roots and upbringing. Because without that background you wouldn’t be where you are today. That’s the case with the amazing man in this story. Xiong Shuihua is Chinese Multimillionaire who has made an absolute fortune being a savvy operator in China’s booming economy in the past few decades. But he remembers his home. And went great lengths to pay tribute to it…
His home village, Xiongkeng, in the south of the country, was – and always has been – a poor little area that’s nothing more than just a series of cheaply put together huts on muddy roads.
So he decided that he’d put some of the fortune he’s made in the steel industry to good use and invest it in his home village. So he sought everyone’s permission and sent in the diggers and trucks to knock the existing structures and buildings down so he could start afresh and give the villagers a new lease of life.
Then came the rebuild. Xiong has since housed more than 75 families and even given a further 18 luxury villas!
He said of the project: “I earned more money than I knew what to do with and I didn’t want to forget my roots. I always pay my debts, and wanted to make sure the people who helped me when I was younger and my family were paid back.”
The place couldn’t be more different now. It truly is a remarkable transformation. And one the village is eternally grateful for.
He’s even pledged to provide for elderly and impoverished families, guaranteeing them three hot meals a day!
WOW! Amazing… Would you do the same if you came into money?!
