Basketball player Nigel Hayes made a bit of a fool of himself this week at a press conference. Whilst fielding a question from the audience of journos, he forgot his mic was on and made a serious gaffe… Though it could have been a lot worse – he actually says something pretty sweet about the lady!

Hayes plays for the Wisconsin Badgers, a team that represents the University of Wisconsin–Madison (University of Wisconsin). They compete as a member of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and have a huge number of fans in their home state. So people know Nigel. He averages 13.7 points a game too, so this NCAA player is destined for big things in the NBA, for sure.
