Boredom Bash
A Romanian woman was left totally heartbroken recently when she discovered that her pregnancy bump wasn’t holding a baby, but instead held an 11lb tumor. Madalina Neagu, a 42 year-old from rural Romania was so confident that she was with child that she didn’t even visit doctors or medical staff before the nine month period associated with human pregnancy was up. She arrived with pains in her abdomen, expecting to give birth. She was to be devastated when surgeons broke the news.
Dr Dorin Scladan told local media: “As the woman told us she was pregnant, we initially expected pregnancy complications. In fact, the size of her belly was quite similar to that of a nine-month pregnant woman, so we didn’t have any reason to doubt what she told us.”
But after examinations at Botosani County Hospital, doctors discovered the horrifying news, had to break it to Mrs. Neagu and then get to work operating on her to remove the large tumor that was in her uterus.
The removal took several hours, but the woman recovered and was soon in Intensive Care, recuperating.
Dr Scladan added: “We don’t often see a tumor of this size and in this location. It was a record tumor for the region in the past 15 years.”
She’s expected to make a full recovery from the surgery. Our thoughts are with her.
