American freelance journalist Esther Honig is working on a new project called ‘Before & After’. In it, she looks at the idea of female beauty. Now, we all know that magazines airbrush and Photoshop their models so that they’re ‘perfect’, right? But what is ‘perfect’? And does the ideal vary from country to country? Well, that’s what Esther wanted to find out. So she sent her photograph out to 40 Photoshop whizzes across the world with the simple brief, ‘make me beautiful’.
