Nikki Misurelli wanted to join her boyfriend on an epic ‘boys tour’ that he was planning with some friends. They both ride motorbikes, but he wasn’t keen on the idea. He didn’t think she would be able to keep up and life the lifestyle. So he went without her. They split up shortly afterwards…
Determined to prove to him, ‘the boys’ and herself that she was more than up to the task, Nikki (aka ‘alaskamotogirl‘ on Instagram) decided to save up some money, pack a tent and go riding across the world. And that’s exactly what she’s done!
She’s covered South America, Europe and her first ride? Her and her trusty Honda CBR600RR rode from Alaska to Panama!
“I have no house and barely any possessions. I pulled all my retirement money and sold almost all of my belongings. It’s amazing how little we actually need in life.”
“I did some camping in the mountains but it was really cold. It was pouring down and I wanted somewhere warm, with no wind or rain. I didn’t feel like socialising or finding an Airbnb so I just decided to go for it.”
“Bad things can happen anywhere in the world, but there are more good people than bad,” she says.
