The Voice is a hit show around the world.
Since it first began in Holland back in 2011, the show has been adapted for every conceivable foreign market. From the United Kingdom to Brazil, from the United States to Germany, it seems everyone’s up for a bit of chair-spinning action.
Hey, even Afghanistan’s got a version!
This clip comes from the first season of the Australian version of The Voice. The judges are Seal, Keith Urban, Delta Goodrem and Joel Madden … and what they do when this young lady starts to sing is simply astonishing:
That’s twenty two year old Kerise Eden, and we think you’ll agree she’s really rather good! No wonder she went on The Voice – she’s certainly got a very good one!
All four judges spun round within moments of her beginning to sing her version of James Brown’s classic 1966 hit single, ‘It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World’, and it’s pretty clear why they did.
We wish we could sing like that!
Kerise picked Seal to be her coach in the end, and she eventually went on to win the series. Since then she’s released two albums, the first of which went to number one in the Australian charts.
See? Sometimes dreams do come true.
