Taipei Zoo in Taipei City, Taiwan. A baby pangolin is born. A strange-looking creature, the pangolin is also known as the ‘scaly anyeater’. A critically endangered species, poor little pangolins are hunted in the wild and by man (for their meat, skin and for ‘medicinal’ purposes in China). So it’s great to see them being born in captivity. This little fella was rejected by his mother so had to rely on the workers at the zoo to feed and raise him.
