A multiplayer worm game where size never slows you down
Squirm.io puts you in a shared arena with other players. Steer with the mouse, arrow keys or your thumb, eat food to grow longer, and make rivals run their head into your body. Boost with the left mouse button or Space, grab power-ups and gold Nuggets, and spend them on skins in the Burrow. It runs in the browser with no download or account.
Our verdict
Worm io games usually stall once a giant worm is untouchable. Squirm.io avoids that by keeping speed constant at every length, so size only costs you turning circle. A huge worm can still be cut off. Sessions stay fast, and if you like Worms Zone or Slither.io you will pick this up in seconds.
Why we like it: Dying drops pellets for everyone else, so a kill redistributes the board instead of just deleting a player. The one rule is easy to learn: your head touching another worm's body is fatal, and bodies pass through each other. Nothing in the shop is sold for real money.
The catch: No private rooms yet, so playing with a friend means both of you load the game and hope you land in the same arena. The game is also still marked beta on the site, with the odd restart.
