Stock research tools: SEC filings, insider and Congress trades
StockTools.ai is a research workspace where one ticker search opens filings, valuation, financial health, ownership and AI-written analysis tied to that company. It follows Congress trades from required disclosures, insider buys and large institutional filings, and has standalone tools such as a DCF calculator, cash runway and max pain. It says it is for information, not investment recommendations.
Our verdict
Handy for checking a company's filings and who is buying before you form a view. Search a ticker, then read the valuation, the insider and Congress activity, and the cited analysis in one place. Treat it as a starting point for your own research, since it states it is educational and does not recommend trades.
Why we like it: Everything hangs off a single company page, so you are not hopping between an SEC viewer, a trade tracker and a calculator. The tools take a ticker straight from the link, and it labels third-party figures such as CEO net worth as estimates.
The catch: Pricing pages show paid plans with extra AI generations and alerts, described as free during a beta. The core research tools are open now, but it is not a free-forever service.
