Article Summarizer

Article, YouTube and podcast summarizer with sources for every line

Yank takes a link or a file and returns five lines worth keeping, each checked against the source and located in it. It works on articles, YouTube videos, podcasts, PDFs and more. Long sources open with a plain summary labeled as Yank's own words, and when fewer than five lines hold up, it gives you a short summary instead of padding.

Our verdict

Use it when you want the gist of a long article, video or PDF and need to know where each point comes from. Every line links back to the second, page or passage in the source, so you can check it. Yank also checks quotes against a link and opens song lyrics with translations.

Why we like it: Every line points back to its source, with timestamps for video and audio and page numbers for PDFs. You can yank just a chosen stretch of a long podcast, and there is a free JSON API and MCP server for agents.

The catch: Files you drop or paste are never saved and live only in your open tab, so you cannot share them later. Listening to a recording for song matching needs a one-time large download in your browser.
