They look normal. You wouldn’t even notice them. But if you do spot one and recognize it… you need to act. We’re talking, oddly enough, about clothes hooks. Ones you might find in public restrooms. These are no ordinary hooks, though. These have spy cameras in them.
These clothes hook spy cameras are, obviously, illegal and it doesn’t bear thinking about what kind of creep fits them in public toilets or what they do with the footage.
In a Facebook statement, Florida police said: “All of the devices found so far look like simple coat hooks with the camera mounted behind it and utilizing a very small hole in the top portion of the coat hook for the lens of the camera. They use motion detection cameras inside to take video.”
“Anyone who has a public restroom on their property needs to check them closely. If you find anything suspicious you think might contain a hidden camera, don’t touch it. Call us right away and we will respond.”
