This Buffalo Escapes Certain Death By Lions In The Most Ingenious Way Possible!

In this heart-pounding video filmed by tourists on safari in Africa, a buffalo finds itself set upon by a couple of hungry lions. Lions are the apex predator in that particular part of the world, and when they sink their teeth into their prey, well, it’s usually game over, folks. Lions are masters of isolating their intended targets and bringing them down using cooperation and team tactics. It’s an incredibly effective way of catching prey … usually!

As the following video shows, things don’t always run smoothly when you’re a hungry lion. They’ve isolated a buffalo, and it’s only a matter of time before they bring him down. Or is it? Because this particular buffalo has other ideas. As you’ll see, it seems that even the best laid plans don’t always work out …

That’s the noise of the tire the buffalo bursts popping and hissing and scaring the lion away. By the looks of it, that buffalo had a lucky escape. If those safari vehicles weren’t there, who knows what might have happened?

This time around though, it’s definitely:

    Buffalo – 1 Lions – 0

    Better luck next time, lions!
