This Autistic Boy Has A Huge Fear Of Haircuts – What This Barber Does To Help? Awe Inspiring!

Cute little Mason from Wales in the United Kingdom has always had a huge a fear of haircuts. The chair, the scissors, the smell, the sitting still for twenty minutes… The whole thing is a huge drag for him and he can’t stand the process. And since he was diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder a few months ago, it’s become clear why. But a barber from the same town, a certain James Williams, has struck upon the solution…

The floor! Mason and James get on the floor and he distracts the youngster by letting him play with his smartphone.

James clearly doesn’t care about getting dirty or looking silly, does he? Good man!

James the barber wrote on Facebook:

“We both layed (sic) on the floor in silence & he allowed me to cut away & give him his first proper haircut, again achieving something in a job I love making both parents happy by giving extra attention to mason by building a friendship at trust with Mason & myself.”

Denine, the boy’s mom, was thrilled at what happened. She said this about it:

“I can’t believe what James did – most barbers would be eager to get on to their next customer as they would be losing money but he didn’t mind at all and dedicated all his attention on helping Mason.”

“People don’t realise how difficult it can be for a child with ASD and how much it means to parents like me and Jamie.”

“This was the first proper hair cut he has had since he was 18 months old. Seeing Mason get stressed and upset is so traumatic so when James did this it meant the world.”

Great work, James!
