Xander McPheeters’ story is an incredible one. Not many 5 year-old boys can claim to have saved a life – let alone their own father’s. But Xander can. He went out into the back yard one day and saw something terrible. His dad was out on his tractor and a tree had fallen down on top of him, knocking him unconscious. What the young boy did next saved his dad’s life…
The courageous kid received the prestigious ‘Hobies Heroes Award’ while his proud dad looked on. The presenter of the aware, former American diving champion Hobie Billingsley had this to say: “It’s an honor and just a remarkable thing you did. You’re going to live with that for the rest of your life and everyone’s going to be happy you did it.”
